A British adventurer was murdered while trying to kayak the entire Amazon River.
According to CBS News, 43-year-old former principal Emma Kelty was last heard from on September 13 when she sent a creepy tweet about her fear of being robbed or killed in a remote part of northern Brazil.
“Turned corner and found 50 guys in motor boats with arrows!!! My face mist hve been a picture!! (Town was uber quiet… too quiet!!) all go…” she shared.
That was her last tweet.
Brazil’s navy said in a statement on Saturday that Kelty was between the cities of Codajas and Coari when she activated an emergency beacon. That area is apparently known for pirates and drug traffickers.

A Michigan mother of three has been charged with involuntary manslaughter and second-degree child abuse following the co-sleeping death of her 6-month-old son.
Leslie Neuman, 32, turned herself in Monday in connection to the death of her son, Connor Kleemann, according to Detroit’s FOX 2. The Wayne County Prosecutor’s Office alleges she had been drinking the night of her son’s death and had been previously warned about the dangers of co-sleeping.
Police responded to a 911 call from Neuman’s home in Livonia around 6 am on December 29, 2016 and found the infant unresponsive. He was then taken to an area hospital where he was pronounced dead.
According to defense attorney Maggie Cotant, Neuman and her sister were drinking and eating leftovers from Christmas dinner the previous evening. Over the course of eight hours, it is alleged they each consumed about four beers and a shot of hard liquor. “[The

A boy in Beaverton, Oregon called 911 on his own mother for driving drunk from the backseat of her car.
Nicole Norris, 30, was driving home from a minor league baseball team game Saturday night when her 11-year-old son called 911, according to Oregon Live.
Police arrived and Norris was cited for a DUI. Her blood alcohol content was nearly twice the legal limit, an NBC affiliate reports.
“I’ve never had that call before,” Deputy Deputy Shannon Wilde. “We get a lot of concerned citizens, people call in, about people they think are driving impaired, swerving, or driving really slow, but to have a child call from inside the car to say the parent is driving impaired is unusual.”
Wilde praised the boy for his actions.
“I think it absolutely says that he’s a courageous young man, who knows the difference between right and wrong,” said Wilde. “Even doing something as hard as

A Connecticut mom turned herself into police last week after she was accused of leaving her baby in a car for nearly an hour while she shopped for shoes.
Thirty-four-year-old Kathryn Ferguson allegedly left her 11-week-old in her SUV while she shopped at Shoes ‘N’ More. She bought two pairs of shoes before cooling off with a mint lemonade at Le Pain Quotidien, according to WCVB.
Meanwhile, her baby was suffering. The car was turned off and its windows were closed. It was 85 degrees outside. Police determined the baby was left in the car for about 45 minutes.
Ferguson called police herself because she returned to the child screaming. She claimed she forgot the baby was in the car as the infant had been quiet and sleeping.
Ferguson also maintained that she was only gone for 10 minutes, Inside Edition reports. When police arrived the baby was matted down with

Chloe Ayling is speaking out in more detail about her kidnapping.
The 20-year-old alleges that a group of men abducted her in Italy and kept her captive for six days. She tells London’s ITV ‘This Morning’ her story. “I was hoping for a non-painful death,” she said while tearing up.
Ayling’s ordeal began with a modeling gig her agent booked in Milan. She showed up and said she realized immediately it was a ploy. Masked men bound and drugged her with ketamine. “Absolute panic. I didn’t know why they were doing this,” she recalled.
She says that she passed out and woke up in the trunk of a car. The men wanted to traffic her on the Dark Web for sexual purposes to men in the Middle East.
Eventually, Ayling was let go when the kidnappers found out she had a son.
Ayling told her interviewer it’s hurtful when people doubt her

A new mother is suing the hospital after she accidentally smothered her newborn.
According to Oregon Live, Monica Thompon is suing Portland Adventist Medical Center for $8.6 million after she was left unsupervised and ended up killing her 4-day-old son Jacob.
Thompson was heavily medicated with painkillers and sleep aids while Jacob, who was born via C-section in August 2012, was left in the bed with her so she could breastfeed him. KATU shares that Thompson was a first-time mother. When she awoke, she found the newborn not responding. “About an hour later, still drowsy and groggy, Mrs. Thompson noticed her son was unresponsive in her arms,” the lawsuit states.
Jacob suffered brain damage and his parents ultimately removed him from life support six days later. Doctors told them that his comatose state would be irreversible.
The lawsuit is alleging negligence on the part of the hospital for medicating Thompson, placing the newborn in her bed without

Families flock to the Wisconsin State Fair each summer to indulge their sweet tooth, see local crafts, enjoy a ride on the Wonderfair Wheel and take in performances by leading artists. This year’s fair features appearances by John Mellencamp, The Beach Boys and Pentatonix. Unfortunately, it also featured a couple having sex on a bench in between the concession stands and the public restrooms.
Even more unfortunately, someone filmed it on their phone.
“We’re here for a horse show or a dog show – not to make babies,” fairgoer Morgan Hakenson told Wisconsin’s FOX6.
The Smoking Gun later identified the couple as Desiree Anderson and Robert Beasley, both 28 years old and “previously married to each other.”
Witnesses say the couple started going at it in full view of other visitors and appeared to know they were being filmed. At one point during the video, Beasley pauses to
