Convicted Sex Offender Re-Elected As Fire Chief Despite Objection Of Victim’s Mother

Despite criticism, Spartansburg Mayor Ann Louise Wagner is standing behind her decision to uphold the re-election of Roger Gilbert Jr. as the small Pennsylvania town’s fire chief, despite Gilbert’s status as a registered sex offender, according to CBS Local.

In 2001, Chief Gilbert was convicted of sexual assault of a 4-year-old girl. He is currently listed in the state’s Megan’s Law database. (The New York Times had erroneously stated that Gilbert had pleaded guilty to the crime and later issued a correction on their report.) He had completed a five-to-10-year prison sentence and is considered a felon for the crime of “involuntary deviate sexual intercourse.”

Gilbert was elected for a second term for the unpaid volunteer position. The other firefighters serving in the town are aware of Gilbert’s criminal history and have been since 2010.

“I assist the hearth division and their determination to have him as chief …

Tupac Shakur’s Abuse Victim Speaks Out About His Guilty Verdict For The First Time

Ayanna Jackson, the woman who accused Tupac Shakur of sexual assault, spoke out for the first time on-camera last week since her 1993 allegation. In a sit down with VladTV, Jackson recounts how she felt when the 23-year-old rap star was found guilty of first-degree sexual assault along with his road manager.

When asked if she felt the guilty verdict “satisfied” her need for justice, Jackson said no. “I don’t think that it could ever satisfy…whether it’s a guilty verdict by a court or anything…I’m 44 now and I could never, ever recover from. There is no justice in that. Not at all.”

Jackson alleged that Shakur and his entourage took turns having sex with her in a New York City hotel room. Although she had come to be with the rapper, she alleges that he forcibly allowed his friends to also have sex with her. “I’m looking at him

Suspected Serial Rapist Caught After Police Saw Victim Fall Out Of His Car

Police in Los Angeles have arrested an alleged serial rapist they have been trying to track down after they witnessed one of his victims fall out of his car. According to The Washington Post, police held a press conference on Wednesday, where they announced the arrest of 35-year-old Ferdinand Ervin Flowers of Long Beach.

“We believe we have the right predator off the streets who committed these horrible crimes,” Justin Eisenberg, LAPD chief of detectives, said at the news conference.

Flowers, a security guard, allegedly robbed a 19-year-old woman at gunpoint before trying to force her to have sex with him on Friday, according to The Washington Post. The brave woman fought him off and fell out of his car in plain sight of two police detectives, who happened to be in the area investigating that very case. Killer Who Got Caught By Her Facebook Selfie With Victim Sentenced To 7 Years

A killer who took a Facebook selfie with her victim hours before the crime has been sentenced to seven years in prison. As CBC News reports, 21-year-old Cheyenne Rose Antoine pled guilty to manslaughter for killing 18-year-old Brittney Gargol (seen above) two years ago. Authorities say the selfie taken with the two women was key in helping further the investigation.

Antoine (seen below) claims that Gargol was her best friend. They had been out drinking and got into an argument. She says that she doesn’t remember strangling Gargol to death but she doesn’t dispute that she did indeed kill her.

Authorities say that a belt was believed to be the murder weapon. Per the Facebook selfie, which was posted hours before the body was found, Antoine was wearing the same belt. The belt was found lying by Gargol’s body. The connection between the weapon and selfie made Antoine

Woman Charged In Shocking Shooting That Was Live-Streamed By Victim On Facebook

The woman who allegedly pulled a trigger in a shocking Facebook Live video has turned herself in.  Labritney Austin, 29, of University Park, Chicago turned herself in on Wednesday, one day after she allegedly shot a 27-year-old woman in the arm.

According to the Associated Press, police announced on Friday that Austin is being charged with aggravated battery by discharging a firearm. It is unclear at this time if Austin has a lawyer who can speak on her behalf.

The Facebook Live video, which streamed on Tuesday, told a dramatic story. The victim appeared to be in a jovial mood as she walked across a parking lot of the city’s South Side at around 3 PM, with her phone recording and broadcasting her steps on Facebook Live.

‘Bachelor’ Star’s Lawyers Say He Performed CPR On Crash Victim, Ask Court To Drop Charges

Lawyers for Chris Soules — who was “The Bachelor” on season 19 of the ABC show — are asking the court to dismiss a charge against Soules that claims he failed to remain at the scene of a car accident, People reported.

Iowa authorities claim that Soules, 35, left the scene of a fatal car accident that resulted in the death of 66-year-old Kenneth Mosher, a veteran. But Soules’ attorneys say that the charges are unfounded.

“Because Mr. Soules indisputably stopped his vehicle, returned to the injured driver, contacted law enforcement, provided aid to the injured driver, arranged for medical treatment for the injured driver, remained until emergency personnel responded to the injured party, and provided identification data, the State’s charge must be dismissed,” court documents by Soules’ attorneys said.

Soules also attempted to resuscitate Mosher with CPR, his lawyers claimed.

“Mr. Soules checked on Mr. Mosher to determine if he

Police Believe Man Shot In Street May Be Fourth Victim Of New Florida Serial Killer

Residents of the Seminole Heights neighborhood in Tampa are being asked to stay inside after a 60-year-old man was shot to death while crossing the street on Tuesday morning, The Miami Herald reported.

Police are investigating the murder as the work of a possible serial killer responsible for the death of three other people in the same neighborhood.

In addition to new victim Ronald Felton, 60, police believe the same shooter killed Benjamin Mitchell, 22; Monica Hoffa, 32; and Anthony Naiboa, 20. All three were killed within days of each other in October.

The suspect in Felton’s shooting was thin and wearing a black baseball hat at the time he came up behind Felton and shot him in the back, police said.

Police believe the shooter is likely to live in the neighborhood, and police cautioned that residents should check their homes and make sure that, if they own a gun, it is

Man Accused Of Killing Spree Wrote Cryptic Message In Victim’s Blood

Police arrested a 22-year-old Florida man in late October on charges that he killed three victims and targeted two others, People magazine reported.

On Oct. 27, police found the body of Derick Westley Tucker, 46, on the ground near a storage unit and next to a hacksaw and machete covered in blood. The killer used Tucker’s blood to write a strange message: “4 Stop Wait Time.”

Later that day, police arrested security guard Nathaniel Maurice Petgrave in the murder, and charged him with two other deaths.

Investigators believe the “4” in the bloody message was a reference to the number of people Petgrave believe he had killed; one of the victims recovered after being shot in the neck, police said.

Petgrave, who was homeless, had ammunition in a makeshift camp matching the bullet casings from one of the murder scenes, investigators claimed. Detectives allegedly found Petgrave in a stolen black pickup truck.

Police claim

A Pennsylvania college student who went missing nearly two months ago may be a victim of sex trafficking. Corinna Slusser, 19, was last spotted on September 20, leaving Haven Motel in Queens, New York, according to The New York Post.

The teen had filed a complaint against a 32-year-old man about a month before she vanished. She claimed that man grabbed her neck and pushed her against the wall when told him she wanted $300 that was allegedly stolen from her. That man could be her pimp, authorities said.

Slusser’s family reported her missing on September 12 after she didn’t show up for grandpa’s funeral, the New York Daily News reports. Her last post on her Instagram was on September 10. Family members said Slusser moved to New York City after meeting an alleged pimp in March. Before meeting him, she studied marketing at Indiana University of Pennsylvania.

“She’s so sweet
