Mom Sentenced For Making Up Kidnapping And Gang-Rape Tried To Flee

A Michigan mother who was convicted for making up a story about being gang-raped fled from a sheriff’s custody after being taken to a hospital for treatment, according to a prosecutor.

Leiha Ann-Sue Artman, 26, was sentenced to a year in prison for making up a story that she was kidnapped and gang-raped by four black men in 2016. According to MLive, Artman dodged jail time for the crime by entering an intensive probation program and a residential jail alternative program. But, last month, she went missing from the alternative program, violating her parole.

Muskegon County Chief Assistant Prosecutor Timothy Maat said, “It’s alleged that while at the hospital, she attempted to flee the custody of the deputies who transported her.”

He said that Artman, a mother of three, ran out of the emergency room and onto the street. She was chased down by police and caught after a brief pursuit, MLive

Man Who Killed University Of Utah Student Tried To Kill Other Man With Crossbow But Ended Up Slitting His Throat

The violent 24-year-old felon who killed a University Of Utah Student during an unsuccessful carjacking killed another victim days earlier, according to The Salt Lake Tribune. After being arrested for the October 30 murder of Chenwei Guo in Salt Lake City, killer Austin Boutain confessed to the October 27 murder of Mitchell Bradford Ingle in Colorado. Ingle was staying in a trailer at the Clear Creek RV Park in Golden, Colorado when he met Boutain and his wife Kathleen, who were camping under a bridge nearby.

Ingle had previously bought marijuana off Austin Boutain, and on the night of his murder was smoking pot and drinking stolen whiskey with the couple. According to The Denver Post, Boutain was angered after Ingle made sexually charged comments towards his wife. After Ingle went to bed, the couple to decide to kill him and steal his belongings.

Police Conduct Sting On Wife Who Allegedly Tried To Hire Hitman By Helping Husband Fake His Own Death

A Texas woman was sentenced to 20 years in prison last year after attempting to hire a hitman to murder her husband — and after her husband faked his own death to catch her in the act.

Now her intended victim, the boxing coach Ramon Sosa, is telling the story of how he and local investigators used stage makeup to convince his ex-wife Maria Sosa that he was dead.

“When I saw the video of her — when they showed her the staged photos of me dead with bullet in the side of my head — she giggled and laughed like she hit the lotto,” said Ramon, reported ABC 13.

The couple was going through a divorce at the time of the 2015 murder plot. Prosecutors later said that Maria wanted Ramon dead in order to claim his money.

Firefighter Who Tried To Rescue Princess Diana From Car Crash Reveals Her Last Words

On the 20th anniversary of Princess Diana’s August 31, 1997 death, one of the emergency responders to the scene of her fatal car crash recounted the famous icon’s last words.

Xavier Gournmelon, a French firefighter who arrived at the crash scene within three minutes, held Diana’s hand as she was in the back of the wrecked car. Her boyfriend, Dodi Fayed, and her driver, Henri Paul, also died in the crash.

Man Allegedly Tried To Bite Flight Attendant Before Jumping From Airplane

A man is accused of trying to bite a flight attendant before jumping out of a plane onto the tarmac at Charlotte-Douglas International Airport on Thursday.

According to a federal complaint, 22-year-old Tun Lon Sein was on an American Airlines flight when he attempted to bite a flight attendant, opened the exit door and jumped onto an active ramp. According to WCNC, the document stated Sein refused to return to his seat and attempted to bite the flight attendant’s hand in order to reach the door.

When Sein jumped down to the tarmac below, two employees working on the tarmac stopped him from running onto an active taxiway, according to ABC News. From there, the man was transported to a medical facility.

“Sein spoke little or no English during these events,” the document stated,”However, circumstances surrounding his actions show that Sein understood the directions of the F/A, as well as the safety requirements
