Police have confirmed that the severed head brought into an Oregon grocery store before a stabbing incident belonged to the mother of the suspect. The incident took place on Mother’s Day. A motive has not yet been determined.
According to Fox News, police said the woman’s head belonged to 59-year-old Tina Marie Webb, whose body was found at her home in Colton, Oregon.
Her son, 36-year-old Joshua Webb, has been charged with murder and attempted murder. Authorities said he killed his mother before entering a Thriftway store, carrying his mom’s severed head. Joshua Webb then stabbed a checkout clerk, 66-year-old Michael Wagner. The clerk is expected to survive, according to the report.
Joshua Webb’s father said that his son “seemed normal.” He stated on Monday that his son had vision problems and lived at home.

A man allegedly walked into an Oregon grocery store on Sunday covered in blood, with a knife in one hand and a woman’s severed head in the other. The man then stabbed a supermarket employee, The New York Daily News reported.
The employee’s coworkers immediately tackled the attacker to the ground, keeping him restrained while they waited for emergency responders to arrive, The Daily News said.
The victim was airlifted out of the store to a local hospital. Police have not provided any update as to the victim’s condition, according to Oregon Live.
