An Arkansas man has admitted to killing his wife because of a dispute over their television. According to People, 58-year-old Tony Thomas of Carlisle, Arkansas murdered his wife, Elke, because she changed the channel when he was watching football.
The incident took place on November 19, 2017.
Thomas says that he went outside for a smoke and when he came back, his show was no longer on. He says that he asked her the score of the game and a fight ensued. “She began yelling at him and got in his face,” the criminal complaint alleges. “He stated he got a knife from the wall and stabbed her. He claimed he’d blacked out and then when he ‘came to,’ he was over her with a knife in his hands.”
The incident took place in the couple’s living room.
Once he killed her, Thomas took the body outside and he covered it with a blanket and tarp.
Tragedy struck a family when its pit bull terrier attacked a 1-year-old. According to the Providence Journal, Remmy Goulart of East Falmouth, Massachusetts, was mauled and left with life-threatening injuries. After the incident, her father stabbed and killed the dog.
According to Mass Live, the attack on the child occurred on Sunday at the family’s home on Brick Kiln Road. The child was apparently playing in the kitchen with her father nearby when the terrier attacked her. The dog bit the 1-year-old in the face and caused what authorities have described as “major trauma.”
The father, Reece Goulart, then sprung into action to try to keep the dog away from the child. He first wanted to shoot the dog, but ultimately stabbed it.

A hookup between two men on a gay dating app in New York City has left one dead. As the NY Daily Newsreports, 42-year-old David Haigh of Pennsylvania went to Brooklyn to meet 41-year-old James Johnson. The consensual encounter in April took a deadly turn and left Johnson fatally stabbed.
The two men met on the app on the online dating and chat app called “Jack’d.” Haigh, pictured above, was hanging out with Johnson, pictured below, and then went back to his apartment. Haigh reportedly felt threatened and then admitted to repeatedly stabbing Johnson in his chest and body. Prosecutors have charged him with second-degree murder and criminal possession of a weapon.
But Haigh’s defense has indicated in court docs that something more may have occurred. “An unnamed victim indicated that what started out as a consensual encounter with Johnson quickly turned into a nightmare,” stated a motion

Baltimore resident Daniel Patrick Degoto has been charged with first-degree murder after stabbing pastor Raphael Michael Happy-Ikenwilo to death, according to The Baltimore Sun. Degoto believed that Happy-Ikenwilo had “spiritual control” over his wife.
He had driven his wife to their place of worship, where he rammed his car into Happy-Ikenwilo’s vehicle before attacking him with a large hunting knife, The Baltimore sun reports. Degoto stabbed the pastor in the head, neck, and legs. He was pronounced dead at a nearby hospital shortly thereafter.
Degoto drove to the police after the attack and confessed.

A man allegedly walked into an Oregon grocery store on Sunday covered in blood, with a knife in one hand and a woman’s severed head in the other. The man then stabbed a supermarket employee, The New York Daily News reported.
The employee’s coworkers immediately tackled the attacker to the ground, keeping him restrained while they waited for emergency responders to arrive, The Daily News said.

A 17-year-old member of the MS-13 gang allegedly told her 15-year-old victim, Damaris Reyes Riva (pictured, left), that she “would see her in hell” before stabbing her 13 times, an FBI agent testified. The victim died, and Venus Romero Iraheta is one of ten members of the gang charged in the Maryland murder.
Authorities claim that Iraheta held Riva responsible for the murder of her boyfriend a week earlier, according to the New York Daily News.
