A former porn star and online escort is being charged in the murder of his boyfriend—to live with his girlfriend.
According to People, 23-year-old David Meza was convicted of killing his 51-year-old millionaire boyfriend, Jake Merendino. He now faces life.
On May 2, 2015, Mexican authorities found Merendino’s blood-soaked car near the town of Rosarito. A trail of blood and intestines led them to his body in a ravine. He had been stabbed 24 times.
This year, Meza was found guilty of killing his boyfriend. On September 8, it was reported authorities responding to a fire found the girlfriend, 30-year-old Andrea Grinage, with critical burns at her home. According to People Chica, the body of 16-year-old Emely Peguero was discovered. In addition, fetal remains were found inside the teen—who was confirmed to be five months pregnant.
The Attorney General of the Dominican Republic stated that that her uterus was punctured, indicating an abortion. Peguero also suffered a blunt blow to the head.
Her boyfriend, Marlon Martinez and his mother Marlyn Martinez have been detained in connection with her death. Marlon, a United States citizen, allegedly admitted that he dumped her body in a landfill after she died during an illegal abortion.
An Iowa woman who pled guilty to abandoning her newborn baby in a trash can at a hospital was sentenced to five years of probation in lieu of prison time, The Iowa City Press-Citizen reported.
Ashley Hautzenrader, 24, had entered an Alford plea of guilty to child endangerment and to neglect or abandonment of a dependent person.
At one point during her sentencing, Hautzenrader addressed the court uninterrupted for 30 minutes, saying she was at the hospital to begin with because her other child had been admitted to the intensive care unit for a serious heart condition.
