Now, 23-year-old Bekah Martinez explains why her mother filed a missing persons report on her whereabouts. A teenage boy is now being investigated as a person of interest in connection with the death of Jholie Moussa, a 16-year-old girl whose body was discovered last week covered by leaves and brush in the wooded area of a Fairfax County, Virginia park.
The 17-year-old boy is not being charged with her murder, but he is facing a count of felony assault in connection to an attack that happened to Moussa before she died, The Washington Post reported. The assault was previously unreported, and police discovered it during their search for Moussa. The 17-year-old was arrested January 18 in the assault, according to the Post.
Details surrounding that attack, including when it happened, are unclear. Because he is a juvenile, his identity is not yet being released. Police did not reveal what his relationship is to Moussa.

A young girl is believed to be involved in the death of a toddler who was left unsupervised in a Michigan home daycare.
According to a Fox affiliate, the toddler’s body was found concealed in a bedroom Friday morning. Korey Brown, 1, was found dead by his mother when she went to pick him up from the daycare that day. Bryanna Reasonover told FOX 17 that she found her son’s body in a playpen when she went to pick up three children she had dropped off the previous night. Reasonover claimed her son’s body was covered in bruises and bite marks, which police later confirmed.
An 8-year-old is now being called a ‘person of interest’ and all witnesses in the case are children, police officials said. The 8-year-old girl was taken to a hospital for a mental evaluation. The cause of the infant’s death is not yet known.
