November 6, 2012: Lawrence Nathaniel Jones Opens Fire In Poultry Processing Plant

Lawrence Nathaniel Jones, an employee of a poultry processing plant, opened fire at his place of employment on November 6, 2012. Jones killed two workers and wounded two others during the shooting. He also killed himself after taking out his targets.

Though his motivations at the time were unclear, a 2004 Fresno County mental health evaluation diagnosed Jones with intermittent explosive disorder, drug-induced psychotic disorder and dependence on multiple substances including amphetamine, marijuana and alcohol, according to The San Diego Union-Tribune.

“He had opportunity to shoot other co-workers that were in the business at this time, but he chose not to,” Fresno Police Chief Jerry Dyer said at the time. “He walked around them in order to get very close to the intended targets, place the gun very close and fire a round.”

Jones had an extensive criminal background, which included robbery, vehicle theft and a handful of other convictions. Police later found

Trial Opens For Marine Drill Instructor Accused Of Abusing Muslim Recruits During Whiskey-Fueled Assaults

A trial has begun for Gunnery Sgt. Joseph Felix, who stands accused of a wide range of absues while working at a recruit training facility in Parris Island, S.C.

According to The Washington Post, the charges being levied against Felix include cruelty and maltreatment, obstruction of justice, drunk and disorderly conduct and failure to obey a general order. He has pleaded not guilty.

The accounts of Felix’s crimes are disturbing: Felix reportedly attacked and forced two Muslim recruits inside of an industrial sized clothing dryer, turning the machine on at least once.

“I was tumbling in there,” said victim Lance Cpl. Ameer Bourmeche, who was asked if he would renounce Islam while being abused. “I was burning up … I lost all trust in my senior leaders and my brothers.”

Felix also allegedly physically assaulted a Marine seconds before the cadet jumped to his death. Prosecutors have not suggested that Felix is responsible for the suicide,

Man Pleads Guilty To 1993 Killing After New Evidence Re-Opens Cold Case

A Florida man has pleaded guilty on Tuesday for a 1993 murder, and police are crediting the Oxygen show “Cold Justice” for the closure on the cold case.

Angelo E. Ruth, 61, was sentenced to 11 years in prison for the death of Mattie Henry, 40, according to WINK News. Henry’s half-naked body was found in September 1993 near a recreational center. She suffered a gunshot wound to her head.

Fort Myers police said “Cold Justice” helped renew leads in the case. The forensic evidence and witness statements that the show brought out led to Ruth’s arrest in 2016.

Two years before Henry’s murder, Ruth took out a fraudulent life insurance policy on her, according to an ABC affiliate. Investigators with the show helped police confirm that Ruth forged Henry’s signature on the $100,000 life insurance policy, according to the Root. Then, publicity from the show allowed key witnesses to come forward, and

Charlize Theron Opens Up About Witnessing Mom Shoot And Kill Her Dad When She Was 15

In a New York Times profile published on Tuesday, actress Charlize Theron spoke about when her mother killed her father in self-defense.

When Theron was 15 and living in her native South Africa, her abusive, alcoholic father threatened Theron and her mother with a gun. He began shooting, and her mom, Gerda Jacoba Aletta Maritz, grabbed her own handgun and shot back. Theron’s father died and his brother was wounded. Officials decided the killing was justified.

“I survived that, and I’m proud of that. I’ve worked hard for that, too,” Theron told The New York Times. “And I am not scared of that. I am not fearful of the darkness. If anything, I am intrigued by it, because I think it explains human nature and people better.”

She said the aftermath was even worse than the shooting itself. “That was my entire childhood. My trauma was all of that.”

Theron has played several

Lamar Odom Opens Up About Cheating On Khloe Kardashian "Multiple Times"

Lamar Odom and Khloe Kardashian have been over for a while now, but despite the time that’s passed, Odom still considers how he treated Khloe during their relationship one of his biggest regrets in life.

In a recent interview with Us Magazine, Odom opened up about what really ruined his marriage. Spoiler: it wasn’t just the drugs. Odom explained that it was actually his high profile relationship with Khloe that attracted many women to him, and he took full advantage of that.

“[My relationship with Khloe] opened this gate up with other women who probably wouldn’t have been interested in me. When I became Khloe Kardashian’s man and on TV, it made me look more enticing,” he explained.

“B*tches and THOTs came out of the woodwork,” he continued. “If there is one thing I regret when I was married, it was having multiple affairs with different women. That wasn’t the stand-up thing
