Adoptive Dad Kills 18-Month-Old By Crushing Chest With His Hand After Calling Her ‘Psycho’ In Texts

In a trial for a man accused of killing his newly adopted 18-month-old baby, a pediatrician explained that the toddler was likely thrown against a wall or a hard floor.

Elsie Scully-Hicks was killed in May 2016. Fitness instructor Matthew Scully-Hicks, 31, has been charged with killing her.

According to The Guardian, Dr. Stephen Rose gave testimony on Thursday, detailing the injuries Elsie suffered. In addition to being shaken violently, Rose said she was likely  “rocked backwards and forwards so that her head was flexed down onto her chest and flexed backwards.”

He said that damage probably caused her brain to bleed. “This mechanism would then cause the subdural bleeding, or the bleeds around the brain, and the retinal hemorrhages and also it would cause her to stop breathing,” Rose said to the jury.

The 18-month old also suffered a skull fracture.

“There must have been a cause of the fracture, skull fractures don’t

Man Pleads Guilty To Shaking Girlfriend’s 4-Month-Old Daughter To Death: ‘The Baby Became Quiet’

A Michigan man has pled guilty for killing his girlfriend’s 4-month-old daughter.

According to MLive46-year-old Richard P. Watson pled guilty on Tuesday to second-degree murder and first-degree child abuse. In exchange for this plea, felony murder charges against him were dropped.

Evelyn Patricia Legacy was 4 months old when she died on August 14, 2015 at C.S. Motts Children’s Hospital in Ann Arbor, Michigan.

Watson told authorities that he caused the injures because she was crying. “When he went in to check on her, she was fussy and crying, and while trying to quiet her, he said he snapped and began shaking the baby in the crib,” shared Midland Police Detective Ryan Duynslager in the affidavit. “He said he did this for about one minute, at which time the baby became quiet.”

Later that morning, Watson and the mother had trouble waking the child. They took Evelyn to IKEA and found her unresponsive. Emergency responders said

After Narcan was administered to the 11-month old infant, she was airlifted to a hospital. She survived and was later was placed with relatives, according to MLive.

Brianna, 23,  and Devin, 27, Devereaux were each sentenced to two years of probation in a Grand Traverse County court for third degree child abuse of their baby, according to online court records and UpNorthLive.

20-Year-Old Says ‘Demon’ Made Him Stab Girlfriend To Death, Burn 8-Month Old Son In Fire

A Florida man has blamed the death of his girlfriend and his own infant son on a “demon” he was possessed by.

Diamond Shelman and 8-month old Jeremiah Shelman were found dead in a burning apartment this weekend. Police discovered that injuries on the mother weren’t consistent with a fire death.

Larry Bernard Williams, 20, was arrested for the deaths.

Williams allegedly confessed by telling police “the demon that takes him over” is responsible for killing them, WFLA reports.

Police said he stabbed Diamond on Sunday morning before slitting her throat. He spread gasoline around the apartment to set it on fire.

Diamond’s mother said she recently broke up with Williams.

Of Diamond, her mother said, “If you met her, she had the sweetest spirit, nobody would want to hurt her, it would take an animal to do something like this.”

Sheriff Says Woman Who Survived Month In Wilderness Was ‘Probably’ High On Meth

The woman who survived almost a month alone in the woods while living off berries and mushrooms earlier this month, may have been on meth, new reports reveal.

Twenty-five-year-old Lisa Theris, a waitress and radiology student, lost 40 pounds while being lost in a patch of dense Alabama woods. However, according to Yahoo, she was never more than a mile from the nearest road.

A driver eventually spotted her, naked with matted hair and covered in bug bites and scratches.

Police believe she may have taken drugs with Randall Wade Oswald, 36, and Manley Green Davis, 31, who she was last seen with. Theris was with them when they burglarized a hunting lodge for $40,000 worth of property the night she went missing. Davis and Oswald gave conflicting stories on what happened next. Theris said she didn’t want to be an accessory to the crime so she fled. She was allegedly

Woman Who Survived Month In Wilderness Finally Speaks Out: ‘I Couldn’t Even Hear Any Cars’

A missing woman feared dead showed up 28 days after she vanished, after surviving alone in the wilderness.

She lived off berries and mushrooms in the dense forest of rural Alabama.

Lisa Theris, 25,  was reported missing nearly a month ago, according to Alabama NBC affiliate WSFA. She had fled a hunting lodge after two men she was with committed a robbery. Theris, a radiology student and waitress, did not want to be an accessory.

Manley Davis, 31, and Randall Oswald, 36, stole $40,000 worth of items, including four-wheelers, ATVS, and chainsaws, the Daily Mail reported.

Last Saturday, a woman driving down a country road spotted a woman looking for help.

“I just passed a road and there’s a lady that, she came out of the woods naked and she’s been sick. She’s been in the woods for three weeks,” the caller told 911 dispatchers. Initially, she thought that Theris

Missing Woman Survives In Wilderness For Month Eating Only Berries And Mushrooms

A missing Alabama woman has been found alive after being reported missing nearly a month ago, according to Alabama NBC affiliate WSFA.

Lisa Theris’s father was last in contact with her on July 18. For the past month she had been living off berries, mushrooms and water from streams, lost in the dense forest of rural Alabama after fleeing the scene of a crime she wanted no part of.

Police previously told WSFA Theris was in the company of two men; Manley Davis, 31, and Randall Oswald, 36, when the men broke into a hunting lodge in Midway, Alabama.
