Missing 13-Year-Old Texas Teen Who Had Been Communicating Covertly With A Man For Years Found Safe In Mexico

13-year-old Ashlee Hattermann went missing on Friday after apparently going to meet a man she had been communicating covertly with on the Internet for years. Hatterman was discovered on Sunday evening and appears to be unharmed.

According to CBS, The Harris County Sheriff’s Office thanked the FBI’s San Antonio field office, the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement agency, the Department of Homeland Security, and Mexican authorities in their efforts towards locating the missing child. Details were not offered on how, specifically, she was found.

“We found a note in her room,” said Ashlee’s father, Keith Hattermann. “She calls the guy ‘daddy’ and herself ‘baby girl.'”

The note reportedly read: “Daddy owns my body and my soul,” a line which was repeated on a sheet of paper.

The FBI had asked citizens to be on the lookout for Ashlee.

Olivia Newton-John’s Ex May Have Been Found In Mexico After Vanishing In 2005

Actress and singer Olivia Newton-John’s ex-boyfriend has been found after mysteriously vanishing in 2005. As Australian outlet New Idea reports, Patrick McDermott disappeared from a fishing trip off the coast of California 12 years ago. The Los Angeles cameraman was presumed dead after never returning from the fishing boat, but some skeptics believed that he faked his own death for financial reasons.

McDermott allegedly had a $100,000 life insurance policy that some believe he wanted to cash in for his son. 

A team of private investigators reportedly tracked McDermott down after they saw that a collection of centralized IP addresses was logging onto a web site that followed his whereabouts. The addresses led to the Mexican-Pacific coast, where the missing man had been living under his birth name. Polygamist Cult Leader Apprehended In Mexico After Allegedly Murdering 3 Americans

Orson William Black Jr. (also known as Larry William Black), a polygamist cult leader wanted on charges related to pedophilia, has been captured in Mexico after allegedly killing three Americans.

According to The Huffington Post, Black was apprehended at a compound known as “El Negro,” in Chihuahua, Mexico, where he was with his four wives and 22 others (including several children).

Around 100 Mexican officers stormed the compound. Many in the group are now being held on charges related to illegal immigration, wildlife smuggling, and animal cruelty.

Police discovered various exotic animal parts in the facility, including pieces of zebras, buffaloes, red foxes, black squirrels, a lion and a bear rug, and elephant feet. 

Black’s victims reportedly include three American citizens, teenagers Michael Black and Robert W. Black, and 23-year-old Jesse Barlow. What their connection is to Black has not yet been established. No one had claimed the bodies, although the trio reportedly lived on

‘Narcos’ Location Scout Found Mysteriously Shot Dead In Mexico

A location scout for the Netflix series Narcos has been found murdered in a part of Mexico known for the very same drug violence the show portrays. Spanish language news periodical El País reported Sunday the body of Carlos Muñoz Portal, 37, was discovered inside his car last Monday September 11 on a dirt road near the state of Hidalgo, which currently has the highest murder rate in the country. His car was embedded in dirt and he had been shot several times.

Muñoz was in the area scouting locations for season 4 of the acclaimed series, which chronicles the highs and lows of the DEA’s ongoing battles with the drug cartels of Latin America.
