Missing 18-Year-Old Found Dead Two Weeks Later On Christmas Night

A teenager from Blount County, Tennessee, had been missing for two weeks. On Christmas night, his family got the grim news that his body was found and that police are investigating his death as a homicide.

Christian Boyle, 18, was found after police received a tip, according to AL.com. Police have not yet elaborated on that tip, but Tim Kent of the Blount County Sheriff’s Office did say that after receiving it, they were able to find Boyle’s car and his body.

AL.com reported that Boyle’s father has been ill and up until the day Boyle went missing, December 12, he had been calling regularly to check in on his dad. Boyle loved his father and even had a tattoo dedicated to him. That tattoo features his father’s name and birthday: “George Samuel Boyle 6-25-67.”

A Model Lost Her Leg To Toxic Shock Syndrome. Now, 5 Years Later, She Might Lose The Other One.

A model who lost her right leg to toxic shock syndrome from a tampon in 2012 may “inevitably” have to amputate her left leg due to complications from the rare disease, CBS News reports.

Lauren Wasser was only 24 when a tampon led to toxic shock syndrome apparently within a mere few hours of insertion.

According to Wasser’s account she went to a party that night and her friends told her she looked sick, so she drove home and went to bed. The next morning, she was woken up by a police officer who said that her mother had called them, worried about her.

“I remember coming to and hearing the sound of my cocker spaniel, Madison, barking out of control,” Wasser wrote in an essay for the women’s magazine InStyle. “She was trying to get me up because someone was knocking on my front door.”

She told police that she was

Man Arrested For Wife’s Murder Over 30 Years Later In Cold Case Breakthrough

A man from Pennsylvania was arrested Monday for the death of his wife three decades earlier. Carl Rogers, 62, of Shermans Dale has been charged with the 1983 murder of Debra Jane Rogers, Pennsylvania State Police announced on Tuesday. The break was made after the state police made an effort to reinvestigate cold case homicides last year, CNN reports.

“These cases never go away, much like the pain of the family members who lost a loved one,” Pennsylvania Attorney General Josh Shapiro stated.

Debra Rogers was 23 years old when her body was found in a wooded area by her family’s home. At the time she lived with Carl and their 5-year-old daughter in a trailer on the Rogers family farm. At the time, Carl told police that Debra was depressed about her job and that she mentioned suicide during an argument the night she disappeared.

“That was completely at odds with

On October 3rd, 1849, iconic American writer Edgar Allan Poe was found in a state of delirium outside of a tavern in Baltimore, Maryland. He had been missing for a week and died four days later. The gothic writer’s appearance was described as “repulsive” at the time of the incident.

The exact cause of Poe’s death has remained a mystery. His death certificate has been lost, if it ever existed. It remains inconclusive whether he died from suicide, alcoholism, or from medical conditions which included hypoglycemia. Some have since theorized foul play was involved.

Friends who attempted to revive Poe back to health following the October 3rd incident noted that he called out for “Reynolds” numerous times in his state of half-consciousness. No one has ever determined who — or what — Reynolds could be.

Poe’s
