A Louisiana woman was killed by a pit bull at a doggie daycare facility on Tuesday, The New York Daily News reported.
Laura Williams Ray, a mother of three children, was severely injured by the dog while it was boarding at the West Monroe facility at about 11 pm, according to The News Star.
Ray later died as a result of her injuries.
Happy Hound Hotel owner Leanne Stuckey said that the facility was told that the dog was not aggressive toward people.
“Our hearts go out to the family,” Stuckey said to the News Star. “I’m just grieving for them.”
A spokesman for the Ouachita Parish Sheriff’s Office said that he wasn’t sure if Ray was an employee of the facility or if she was just visiting.
The pit bull was released to Ouachita Parish Animal Control.
District Attorney Steve Tew, who has the power to have the dog euthanized, said his office is

Happy New Year! It’s Jan. 1, and though it doesn’t seem like a Monday—I will probably not know what day it is all week—it’s the start of a new year, a new week, and many, many reality TV shows.

I wouldn’t mind this hiatus lasting a few more weeks. But like 2017, it’s over. There’s a lot on the way this week, beginning with The Bachelor tonight. (If you need a refresher on Bachelor tropes,

According to TMZ, the former football star’s lawyer says that Simpson has created real bonds with his fellow inmates at Lovelock Correctional Center in Nevada, and it will be hard to say goodbye to them.
Malcolm LaVergne explains, that Simpson “loved being in general population” because he’s a social peron. He even misses his prison jobs, like being commissioner of the inmate softball league.
Back in July, the 70-year-old faced a parole board to plead his case for release. He has been incarcerated for nine years due to a 2007 robbery.
In 2007, Simpson and a group of armed men entered the Palace Station hotel of Las Vegas, Nevada where they allegedly robbed sports memorabilia dealer Bruce Fromong at gunpoint. He was convicted on charges including kidnapping, armed robbery and assault with a deadly

According to Oregon Live, Christian admitted to his crimes, allegedly telling police, “I stabbed the two motherf*ckers in the neck and I’m happy now. I’m happy now.”
“Get stabbed in the neck if you hate free speech … I can die in prison a happy man,” the suspect told police while in custody following the crime.
On Friday night, Christian reportedly harassed riders of the Portland train by shouting insults at two Muslim women and acting erratically. When 23-year-old Taliesin Myrddin Namkai Meche tried to defuse the situation, Christian allegedly began stabbing people. Namkai Meche and Rick Best, a 53-year-old Army veteran, were killed in the incident. A 21-year-old man survived his injuries.
