911 Dispatcher Who Spent Her Days Helping Others Killed By Pastor Driving The Wrong Way

On Saturday night, 911 dispatcher Jenna Bixby was fatally struck by a wrong-way driver on a highway in Minneapolis. The 30-year-old, who died on the scene, was hit head-on by an SUV driven by Richard J. Shaka, a retired 72-year-old pastor, reported Fox News

According to FOX9, police are saying that alcohol was a factor in the crash. Shaka survived, but was still in critical condition as of the weekend.

“We just want to know why,” Nikki Orlicki, Bixby’s sister, told FOX9. “We don’t understand. Why her? She was going to work to save people, and somebody decided to take her life and didn’t care.”

Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey reacted to Bixby’s death with a statement that read: “Minneapolis’ Emergency Communications staff work day-and-night to keep people safe. As a 911 Dispatcher, that’s what Jenna Bixby did for years – and what she was on her way to do at

Woman Charged With Killing Young Father After Driving On Wrong Side Of Road In Suicide Attempt

A woman from Red Bluff, California now faces criminal charges after her alleged suicide attempt took the life of a young husband and father. In early January, 28-year-old Grace Ward drove on the wrong state of an interstate, allegedly to end her own life, NBC 4 reports.

Ward did not die in the crash that occurred when she hit oncoming traffic. Instead, she suffered a broken leg. The crash did have a fatality: Ryan Folson, a father of three and a former football player at Brigham Young University. Folson, 29, also attended medical school. In fact, he was en route to a hospital to interview for a residency when Ward crashed into him.

Other cars managed to swerve out of Ward’s way after she allegedly drove down the wrong side of the freeway.

“She intentionally was driving and swerving towards them,” Shasta County District Attorney Stephanie Bridgett said, according to Read more at: http://www.oxygen.com/crime-time/woman-charged-with-killing-young-father-after-driving-on-wrong-side-of-road-in-suicide

Yoga Twin Found Not Guilty Of Driving Off 200-Foot Cliff To Kill Sister In Hawaii

Alexandria Duval was acquitted of the second-murder of her twin sister on Prosecutors accused her of deliberately driving off a cliff in Hawaii to intentionally kill her business partner and identical twin Anastasia in 2016. On Thursday, she wiped tears from her eyes as the judge read her verdict. Alexandria decided to have a judge, not a jury, decide her fate.

Birney Bervar, Alexandria’s defense attorney, told The Maui News, “It’s been an extremely emotional ordeal for her. You can’t imagine losing your twin sister in that kind of catastrophic, tragic accident, then being charged with causing the death of your sister, which she didn’t. She’s extremely relieved.”

Prosecuting Attorney J.D. Kim was a little less thrilled, telling the Associated Press that, “I’m disappointed. The facts clearly show it was at least reckless behavior.”

Both twins were 38 at the time of the crash when an SUV carrying the sisters went

Attorney: Murder Charge Of Sister Accused Of Driving Off Cliff To Kill Twin Should Be Dropped

Alexandria Duval (nee Alison Dadow) is being accused of killing her twin sister after a car in which both of them drove off a cliff. Alexandria survived the crash with minor injuries; her lawyers are now arguing that the charges against her should be dropped.

According to People, the defense is attempting to argue that testimony given by a detective in a grand jury hearing was incorrect. Duval’s lawyers claim that a witness to the crash said that he saw the passenger pulling the driver’s hair with both hands, but a detective testified that the witness had said the passenger had stopped pulling the driver’s hair by the time the vehicle was jolting over the cliff’s edge.

Before the crash, Alexandria and her sister Anastasia Duval (nee Ann Dadow) had owned and operated a chain of yoga studios in Florida. The two had moved and changed their names after going bankrupt.

“They were very well

Terrified 11-Year-Old Calls 911 On Own Mom For Drunk Driving – While He’s In Backseat

A boy in Beaverton, Oregon called 911 on his own mother for driving drunk from the backseat of her car.

Nicole Norris, 30, was driving home from a minor league baseball team game Saturday night when her 11-year-old son called 911, according to Oregon Live.

Police arrived and Norris was cited for a DUI. Her blood alcohol content was nearly twice the legal limit, an NBC affiliate reports.

“I’ve never had that call before,” Deputy Deputy Shannon Wilde. “We get a lot of concerned citizens, people call in, about people they think are driving impaired, swerving, or driving really slow, but to have a child call from inside the car to say the parent is driving impaired is unusual.”

Wilde praised the boy for his actions.

“I think it absolutely says that he’s a courageous young man, who knows the difference between right and wrong,” said  Wilde. “Even doing something as hard as

Dad Speaks Out After Daughter Dies Of Overdose While Driving With Kids In Backseat

The father of a woman who died behind the wheel of a fentanyl overdose alongside her husband—while her children were in the backseat—is speaking out after Florida Gov. Rick Scott signed a law enacting harsher penalties for drug traffickers last Thursday.

Heather Kelsey, 30, and Daniel Kelsey, 32, were found on the side of the road after snorting a powder that they likely believed was heroin on New Year’s Eve last year, the Orlando Sentinel reports. The drug was actually fentanyl, a synthetic drug that is cheaper and deadlier than heroin.

Their children were in the backseat of the car and had likely been there for more than 3 hours before police found them, the Sentinel said.

The children, ages 5, 2, and 1, live with Heather’s father, Mike Belisle, and his wife.

“I think at this point they really do know that they’re gone and they’re not coming back. They have
