On Tuesday night, human remains were discovered in a wooded area of Pasco County, Florida. Those remains have been identified as belonging to 20-year-old Destiny Lee Aaron, a mother who went missing in April before the final custody hearing of her child.
According to a press release from the Pasco County Sheriff’s Office, Aaron also got into an argument with her boyfriend before her disappearance. Police are now saying that their “preliminary belief” is that foul play is not suspected, Fox 13 News reports. A cause of death has not officially been determined.
Captain Chris Beaman, Pasco County Sheriff’s Office, said that there is no evidence that there was any trauma to her body. He said he and other law enforcement officials are trying to investigate how and why the young mother ended up in the woods.
During a press conference on Tuesday, police said that days before the custody hearing,

The woman whose rapist was given joint custody of their child has spoken out about the ruling. After the mother applied for state benefits, a Michigan judge signed an order, without the victim’s knowledge, to allow Christopher Mirasolo joint custody of their son. Mirasolo, 27, has been convicted of rape twice, according to the Independent. The victim in this case was raped when she was just 12 and when Mirasolo was 19. Mirasolo took a plea deal and pleaded guilty to attempted third-degree criminal sexual conduct, according to MLive. He spent a year in jail.
The woman’s lawyer called the ruling insane.
“The judge also restricted the child’s domicile and residence, disclosed the rape victim’s home address to her rapist, and ordered his name on the birth certificate – all without the mother’s consent or any opportunity to be heard,” Rebecca Kiessling told Detroit News.
The woman, now 21, has

A Michigan judge awarded joint legal custody of an eight-year-old boy to the man who was convicted of raping the boy’s mother nine years ago, when she was 12, The Detroit News reported.
Christopher Mirasolo, 27, is the biological father of the child, according to DNA testing.
“This is insane,” said Rebecca Kiessling, the victim’s attorney. “Nothing has been right about this since it was originally investigated. He was never properly charged and should still be sitting behind bars somewhere, but the system is victimizing my client, who was a child herself when this all happened.”
Kiessling is fighting the ruling under the federal Rape Survivor Child Custody Act, and a hearing is scheduled to be held on Oct. 25, according to the News.
Judge Gregory S. Ross disclosed the young victim’s address to Mirasolo in the custody case and ordered that his name be added to the boy’s birth certificate, Kiessling said,

“He was smooth and had me fearing everything he said would come true,” wrote Debra Morgan, an Oklahoma woman, shortly before being murdered in 2016 following a long custody battle with her ex.
Richard Spaulding and Sonia Weidenfelder, Spaulding’s fiancé, now face first-degree murder charges, according to Fox.
On the day Morgan had been killed, records show that a court of appeals had filed in her favor pertaining to child support over offspring she had with Spaulding. Spaulding was going to have to pay over tens of thousands in legal fees. The child at the center of the argument has since been put into DHS custody and may eventually go to live with a family member.
Morgan’s aforementioned note contained extensive information about the physical and emotional abuse she suffered at the hands of Spaulding.
“If I end up dead, go find Rick [Spaulding],” she even told a coworker, according to The

A woman and her son have been convicted of the murdering her estranged husband and disfiguring his face with acid last year.
Laura Rideout, 46, and Colin Rideout, 22, were found guilty of second-degree murder and tampering with evidence in the killing of Craig Rideout, according to the New York Daily News. His beaten and strangled body was found wrapped in a tarp in the woods southeast of Rochester, New York. His face was disfigured from acid, according to an NBC affiliate. Laura’s younger son, Alexander, 19, and her boyfriend, Paul Tucci, were also charged with murder but were acquitted. Alexander was found guilty of tampering with evidence after he helped clean up the murder.
The jury in the trial was shown surveillance video showing Colin Rideout buying a shovel and work gloves at a Walmart. Those items were used in the crime.
“This was definitely one of the most heinous
