More details are emerging from the murder of rapper Chinx. The hip-hop cold case may have been cracked last week when two men were arrested for murder. According to the New York Police Department, the 31-year-old Queens rapper was gunned down while in his car over what’s being described as a six-year prison feud.
Lt. Richard Rudolph, Commanding Officer of the Queens South Homicide Squad, tells XXL that the suspects “hunted” down Chinx (real name Lionel Pickens Jr.). He says that 32-year-old Quincy Homere and 26-year-old Jamar Hill murdered the rising rap star over a feud that took place when Chinx was incarcerated. Chinx and Homere were both at Rikers Island and apparently fought each other on Sept. 27, 2009.
