Lawyers for Chris Soules — who was “The Bachelor” on season 19 of the ABC show — are asking the court to dismiss a charge against Soules that claims he failed to remain at the scene of a car accident, People reported.
Iowa authorities claim that Soules, 35, left the scene of a fatal car accident that resulted in the death of 66-year-old Kenneth Mosher, a veteran. But Soules’ attorneys say that the charges are unfounded.
“Because Mr. Soules indisputably stopped his vehicle, returned to the injured driver, contacted law enforcement, provided aid to the injured driver, arranged for medical treatment for the injured driver, remained until emergency personnel responded to the injured party, and provided identification data, the State’s charge must be dismissed,” court documents by Soules’ attorneys said.
Soules also attempted to resuscitate Mosher with CPR, his lawyers claimed.
“Mr. Soules checked on Mr. Mosher to determine if he

This season of “Bachelor In Paradise” has courted controversy following the decision to halt production after questions were raised about one contestant’s ability to consent during an intoxicated sexual encounter.
Warner Bros. had investigated the situation and found no misconduct had occurred, leading many to wonder whether the two castmates involved, Corinne Olympios and DeMario Jackson, would return to the series. Now, reports from TMZ suggest that both Olympios and Jackson did, in fact, come back for the reunion — but they never met face to face.
Both contestants had flip-flopped on whether or not they’d be returning for the reunion, but sources now confirm they have both gotten on board with the show’s plans.
That being said, TMZ sources suggest that although Chris Harris has insinuiated that a confrontation between Corinne and DeMario occurs during the show (with Harris himself supposedly acting as referee), in reality, the host has two separate conversations with each

The scandal around the current season of Bachelor in Paradise continues as marketing for the show, which temporarily halted production after accusations of misconduct pertaining to a non-consensual sexual encounter arose, seems to be putting the strife front-and-center. TMZ recently caught up with DeMario Jackson, who was accused of sexual assault, who now says he plans on attending the reunion.
“I owe it to my castmates,” says Jackson in the interview. “They’ve been very supportive of me throughout this whole entire thing. I want to thank them personally.”
Jackson also says that he is not planning on having a confrontation with Corinne Olympios, the alleged victim of the misconduct: “It’s not in me. That’s not who I am as a person,” he says.
It is unclear if Olympios will be returning for the reunion. Warner Bros. has not given an official statement on the matter.

The scandal around the currently-filming season of Bachelor In Paradise continues to grow as lawyers for Corinne Olympios, a cast-member who claimed she was too intoxicated to consent to a sexual encounter that occurred during the show’s production, are now offering an official statement on the situation. Warner Bros. had previously conducted their own investigation and found no wrongdoing. Olympios’ team now seems satisfied with certain conclusions and reforms made to the show’s policies going forward.
Olympios offered her statement on the issue over social media:
“In light of the overwhelming amount of misinformation that has been spread in the media, I want to clarify a few things,” reads the statement. “My intent over the past few weeks has been to learn and understand what happened on June 4. While I never filed complaints or accusations against anyone associated with Bachelor in Paradise, my team and I felt it was very

Production was halted on this season’s Bachelor In Paradise following accusations of misconduct, which alleged that one contestant had been too intoxicated during a sexual encounter to properly offer consent. Warner Bros. investigated the situation and found no wrongdoing, but lawyers for Corinne Olympios, the alleged victim, have since asked to review footage of the situation themselves. Now, DeMario Jackson (who claims his character was assassinated by accusations) is reaching out to Olympios in the hopes of solving the situation in private.
According to TMZ, sources say that DeMario doesn’t hold a grudge, especially after Warner Bros. said nothing bad went down. The source added that DeMario was “blindsided and confused” by the accusations against him, especially because it was originally told to him that a third party had reported the incident and not Corinne herself.
DeMario had assumed that he and Corinne were going to be friends. He

Reality show Bachelor in Paradise is mired in controversy after production on the current season was halted following concerns raised about the ability of one contestant to consent during an intoxicated sexual encounter. Warner Bros. completed an internal investigation and decided there were no issues. Lawyers of the victim, Corinne Olympios, are now asking to review the evidence themselves. Now, Olympios’ boyfriend is speaking out on the issue.
“I have known Corinne for over 10 years and as a friend or boyfriend, she will continue to receive my unwavering loyalty and support until I decide that there is a legitimate reason not to give it,” said Jordan Gielchinsky to E! News. Gielchinsky went on to say that he was waiting for more information to be released to offer more comments.
“I pay very little attention to the media and try to ignore all the conjecture
