Phil Spector was a world-renowned music producer who became a self-made millionaire by age 21. Among his many successes, he produced music for The Ronettes, Ike and Tina Turner, and George Harrison and John Lennon’s solo albums. Spector was the man behind hits like “Da Doo Ron Ron.” He was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1989.
He was equally known for the murder of actress Lana Clarkson on February 3, 2003. She was fatally shot inside Spector’s 35-room mansion, known as the “Pyrenees Castle,” in Alhambra, California. Clarkson, age 40 at her death, had small roles in iconic ’80s films like “Fast Times at Ridgemont High” and “Scarface.” She also made appearances on television shows like “Three’s Company,” “The Jeffersons,” “Who’s the Boss?” and “Knight Rider.” She was working as a hostess at the House of Blues in Los Angeles when she was killed. Actress Catherine Oxenberg, best known for her work on the beloved television series “Dynasty,” met with New York Attorney General Eric Schneiderman’s office to present evidence that her daughter is being held captive by a nefarious “self-help” organization named Nxivm. A frightening report from the New York Times suggests that the group uses blackmailing, brainwashing and violent practices, including the branding of their women using a cauterizing device.
Oxenberg believes that her daughter, India, has fallen in with the group that is now allegedly using her as a sex slave in service of their leader Keith Raniere.
“I’m desperate to save my daughter,” Oxenberg reportedly told a friend before the meeting. “I want to help the other young women. I am desperately hoping the authorities take notice and investigate.”
A spokesperson for Schneiderman confirmed the meeting: “Our office met to hear her concerns.”
Schneiderman’s prosecutors may pursue escapees of the group, who are left with scars in the

Ed Westwick, best known for his role as Chuck Bass on “Gossip Girl,” is being accused of raping an actress three years ago. In a detailed Facebook post, Kristina Cohen claims she fell asleep at Westwick’s home where both she and her then-boyfriend, a producer, were guests. She woke up to Westwick allegedly assaulting her.
Her post reads: “So I went and laid down in the guest room where I eventually fell asleep, I was woken up abruptly by Ed on top of me, his fingers entering my body. I told him to stop, but he was strong. I fought him off as hard as I could but he grabbed my face in his hands, shaking me, telling me he wanted to f*** me. I was paralyzed, terrified. I couldn’t speak, I could no longer move. He held me down and raped me.”
She said that at the time her boyfriend blamed

Actor Jeremy Piven, best known for his work on the series Entourage, is the latest Hollywood personality accused of sexual misconduct. The accusations come from TV personality Ariane Bellamar, who says she was non-consensually groped in a trailer on the set of the notorious HBO series.
Piven has denied the allegations in a statement given to Deadline: “I unequivocally deny the appalling allegations being peddled about me. It did not happen. It takes a great deal of courage for victims to come forward with their histories, and my hope is that the allegations about me that didn’t happen, do not detract from stories that should be heard.”
Both CBS (who runs the critically panned show Wisdom of the Crowd, on which Piven currently stars) and HBO have responded to the accusations.
From CBS: “We are aware of the media reports and are looking into the matter,” said a spokesperson Tuesday.
And from HBO: “Today, via the press

On the night of August 9, 1969, Charles Manson ordered central Manson Family member Charles “Tex” Watson to take three other members, Susan Atkins, Linda Kasabian, and Patricia Krenwinkel to the home of Roman Polanski and his wife Sharon Tate’s house. Manson told the three women to do as Watson directed them. The three women were instructed to “totally destroy everyone in [the house], as gruesome as you can.”
The Family went to 10050 Cielo Drive in Los Angeles and murdered Tate, who was eight months pregnant. They also killed three friends who were visiting Tate: her former lover and hairstylist Jay Sebring, Polanski’s friend and aspiring screenwriter Wojciech Frykowski, and Frykowski’s girlfriend Abigail Folger, heiress to the Folger coffee fortune. Stephen Parent, who was visiting the caretaker of the home, was also murdered.
