Bodies Of Mom, 9-Year-Old Daughter Found On New Year’s Eve In Alleged Murder-Suicide

On New Year’s Eve, the body of a woman and her 9-year-old daughter were found inside their Magna, Utah home. Police believe they had been dead for weeks.

Karina Clark, 41 allegedly killed her daughter Madison Clark before shooting herself, CBS News reported.

A church member noticed that something seemed off after he delivered a Christmas gift to the family on their doorstep. That present didn’t move for over a week, so they called the police for a welfare check. Karina and Madison lived alone in the home.

United Police Lt. Brian Lohrke said that the mother suffered from mental health issues. According to CBS, she owned a rifle, which she obtained legally. Both she and her daughter died from gunshot wounds, although Lohrke hinted at further “graphic” details that have not been released.
