A 19-year-old pregnant mother was killed in the early morning on December 23 in an Arizona house while other people were sleeping, police said. The woman’s screams woke up her household at 4:30 AM in a house on the west side of Tuscon, according to the Arizona Daily Star.
Emergency responders arrived at the house to find Jasmine Vega unconscious and bleeding from gunshot wounds, apparently from a gun that shot through the house’s walls from outside.
“They called 911 and when officers arrived on-scene, they observed several projectile holes in the walls of the residence,” police said in a statement. “Additional evidence indicated that multiple shots were fired towards the residence from the exterior.”
Vega was taken to a nearby hospital, where she died shortly after arriving. Next of kin was notified, police said.
No one else was injured in the shooting, police said. Detectives aren’t sure if the shooting was random or
