A young mother died one day after getting diagnosed with the flu. According to Fox10, 20-year-old Alani Murrieta of Phoenix, Arizona checked into the hospital last Tuesday morning and died by afternoon.
Her family is in shock, saying that Murrieta hardly ever got sick. “Monday she was still feeling sick, so her sister took her to urgent care, her and her kids. They diagnosed them with the flu, sent her home with flu meds,” her aunt, Stephanie Gonzales, said. She explains that after the diagnosis, Murrieta’s condition steadily worsened. “Her oxygen levels were low. They took an x-ray around 9 that morning, and they told her she had pneumonia, and it kind of just went down hill after that.”
Doctors reportedly told the aunt that Murrieta had a flu that turned into pneumonia. She says that her niece had no pre-existing conditions and was healthy. Now, the
