Two women are accused of killing two young girls whose bodies were found last month in Colorado. Nashika Bramble and Madani Ceus, both 37, have been charged with murder. Previously, they were charged with child abuse causing death, along with three other people, according to Fox News.
Investigators have not yet elaborated on what details may have led to the murder charges.
“In my 37 years as Sheriff, I have never seen anything as cruel and heartless as this,” San Miguel County Sheriff Bill Masters said last month after the discovery of the two girls’ bodies, according to the Denver Channel. The children are between the ages of 5 and 10, according to police. It is believed that they had been dead for several weeks before they were found. Their decomposing corpses were found on a 17-acre farm about 30 miles west of Telluride, a ski resort town.
