The man who murdered and dismembered a Seattle mother of three and dumped her body parts in garbage bags pleaded guilty Monday to first-degree murder. John Robert Charlton, 38, still faces sentencing for the murder of 40-year-old Ingrid Lyne in April of 2016. Prosecutors say they intend to recommend the maximum prison sentence of 27 years and nine months, according to The Seattle Times.
Charlton and Lyne met online and had been dating for a month before she was reported missing by her former partner, after he dropped off their three daughters, who were ages 12, 10 and 7 at the time of her murder. While searching her home, Seattle detectives found bits of human flesh and dried blood in her bathtub, as well as a 15-inch pruning and an empty box of plastic garbage bags, according to FOX News.
