Martha Ann McClancy, the former Coker Creek resident found guilty in the poisoning death of her husband, will be featured in a television documentary later this week on the Oxygen Network.
McClancy’s 2015 trial was first reported by The Advocate Democrat, and was the subject of an NBC Dateline episode last year. The documentary to be aired this Sunday will be on “Snapped,” a show which features women who have been found guilty in connection with the death of a spouse. The show will air at 6 p.m. and 9 p.m.
McClancy was found guilty of conspiring to kill her husband, Robert McClancy, with an over-dose of prescription drugs which he was taking for post traumatic stress syndrome (PTSD). Testimony in the trial revealed that she put the medications in his food, eventually leading to his death.
