Grandmaster Flash Rapper Arrested Over Murder Of New York City Homeless Man

A founding member of a legendary hip-hop group has been arrested in connection to a fatal stabbing in New York City. According to the Associated Press, The Kidd Creole (a.k.a. Nathaniel Glover) from Grandmaster Flash and the Furious Five was arrested Wednesday on murder charges in an incident involving a homeless man.

The stabbing occurred before midnight on Monday in Manhattan. The victim, 55-year-old John Jolly, was a level-2 sex offender living in a shelter. He was found with multiple stab wounds to his torso.

An NYPD spokesman tells PIX11 that Glover and the victim argued and then Glover allegedly pulled out an object and stabbed him twice in the chest and one time in the stomach. The victim was found on the sidewalk and later died in the hospital. Sources tell WNBC that Glover confessed to police but no motive has been released.
