It was an emotional and shocking scene in a Michigan courtroom. A teenager who admitted to killing 18-year-old Jordan Klee, grinned and laughed as a statement written by the victim’s mom was read.
“I’ve lost my only child, my son, my baby, my friend. More than that, I lost laughter and love. I no longer have the hope of having grandchildren,” a family member read on behalf of Klee’s mother as the mom weeped and wiped tears from her eyes.
Seventeen-year-old Danta Wright smiled and shook his head as the statement was read. After the statement, he made a statement of his own, saying, “I just want to tell y’all I’ll be home soon…I love my family.”
The judge was less than impressed.
