Girlfriend Of 14-Year-Old Sister Who Died In Live-Streamed DUI Crash Blames Social Media

The survivor of a DUI crash in California that killed her girlfriend is speaking out. Fourteen-year-old Manuela Seja can be seen in the video of the crash, which went viral, trying to flag down help. The driver, Obdulia Sanchez, 18, live-streamed the crash on Instagram, which showed her beside her dead 14-year-old sister Jacqueline Sanchez.

Seja and Jacqueline Sanchez were sitting in the backseat when the car suddenly swerved off the road and crashed, ejecting both 14-year-olds. Seja suffered major injuries on one of her legs.

She told KSEE TV that she faults social media.

“Honestly, I’m not mad at anybody and I don’t blame anybody,” she said. “It’s all affected by social media. That’s what life is now. And it’s going to advance more and more. That’s what it’s going to be about.”
