A teen in Stockton, California has been arrested for allegedly driving under the influence and causing a crash Friday that killed her sister. Obdulia Sanchez, 18, live-streamed the crash on Instagram, which showed her beside her dead 14-year-old sister Jacqueline Sanchez. According to International Business Times, Jacqueline Sanchez and another minor were sitting in the backseat and not wearing seatbelts.
“She [Jacqueline Sanchez] was in the back seat of the vehicle and allegedly unseatbelted, and upon the vehicle rolling over, it ejected her and killed her,” Merced County Sheriff Vern Warnke told ABC13 News.
In the recording, Obdulia Sanchez is seen recording herself before the crash, singing along to music. The video then goes blurry as the car crashes. The sound of metal scratching can be heard. California Highway Patrol officials reported that Sanchez was under the influence and that she rolled her car over, hitting a barbed-wire fence.
