As a busy working mom, Maddy rarely watched the news and knew nothing of George Zimmerman, Trayvon Martin, or the rising tensions attached to their case. On the day they acquitted Zimmerman, she felt like she lost a part of her soul. She later went on the record and vocalized that she thought the jurors got it wrong. After the trial, she battled depression as a result of the pressures of being part of such a controversial trial but has since overcome it by making positive changes in her life.
Maddy is appearing on The Jury Speaks, airing tonight at 9p ET.
