Adnan Syed From ‘Serial’ Was Asked To Be Released On Bail

Fans of Serial have a new chapter in the story of Adnan Syed. While waiting for his new trial, he has asked a judge to release him on bail. According to NPRhis lawyers filed the request on Monday.

The first season of the hit podcast delved into the case of Syed, who was a teenager in Baltimore when he was convicted of murdering his girlfriend, Hae Min Lee, over 15 years ago. Sarah Koenig and her team found issues in his case, including an alibi witness who was never heard from, misleading cell phone data, and incompetent legal defense by Syed’s attorney.
