She had a budding future as an artist, with a plan to attend to community college before beginning a career in digital media.
But she gave it all up for a man — her father. He became her husband, and then the father of her child. And, ultimately, her killer.
Two years before her death, Katie Pladl’s life with an adoptive family started to crumble after she reached out to her biological parents and moved in with them in Virginia — leading to an incestuous relationship that ended in horror last week.
Katie began a relationship with her biological father, Steven Pladl, that led to him leaving his wife to marry his daughter and raise a child with her. But last week, police found all three of them dead, along with Katie’s biological father, Anthony Fusco, in a crime spree spanning three states. Police said Steven, 45, killed his daughter/wife, their 7-month-old son Bennet and Fusco before

After the discovery of human remains in flowerpots, police have been searching for more victims of the alleged Toronto serial killer Bruce McArthur. On March 5, police discovered the remains of a seventh individual who they believe is yet another victim.
The victim, a man, has yet to be publicly identified, according to NBC. Police were hoping to discover the victim’s identity before having to release a picture of the corpse to the public.
“I do not want to release this picture and I’m doing so as a last resort … I’ve never done this before. I do it with great hesitation. It is obviously a key piece of evidence that we have that we are releasing, but we feel by releasing it, hopefully we can identify him and close off that area of the investigation,” said Detective Sgt. Hank Idsinga, who did not offer a comment on how

Decades after the “Sunset Strip Killers” terrorized Los Angeles, it’s still unclear who the mastermind was behind the serial killer couple’s horrific crimes. Was it Carol Bundy, who called the Los Angeles Police in August 1980 to report the murders she and her lover Doug Clark committed? Or, was she looking for protection from Doug? Oxygen’s “Mysteries Scandals” gives insight into this infamous murderous couple on Friday, March 2 at 9/8c.
When Carol called the police, she confessed to killing her lover John Murray after he found out what she and Doug had been up to. She lured John to a van to have sex with him. Then, she shot him and even decapitated him.
Carol told police she would tell them all about Doug’s crime if she was offered a reduced sentence. She claimed that Doug had a nasty habit of picking up underage sex trafficking victims, killing them and discarding

Despite criticism, Spartansburg Mayor Ann Louise Wagner is standing behind her decision to uphold the re-election of Roger Gilbert Jr. as the small Pennsylvania town’s fire chief, despite Gilbert’s status as a registered sex offender, according to CBS Local.
In 2001, Chief Gilbert was convicted of sexual assault of a 4-year-old girl. He is currently listed in the state’s Megan’s Law database. (The New York Times had erroneously stated that Gilbert had pleaded guilty to the crime and later issued a correction on their report.) He had completed a five-to-10-year prison sentence and is considered a felon for the crime of “involuntary deviate sexual intercourse.”
Gilbert was elected for a second term for the unpaid volunteer position. The other firefighters serving in the town are aware of Gilbert’s criminal history and have been since 2010.
“I assist the hearth division and their determination to have him as chief …
