TV tonight: Raiders, Rams clash in ‘Monday Night Football’

TV picks for Monday, Sept. 10

WATCH THIS:

“Monday Night Football,” Rams at Raiders  (7:15 p.m. PT, ESPN): The Jon Gruden 2.0 era in Oakland begins as the fiery coach returns to the sidelines in the regular-season opener at the Coliseum. The Raiders are trying to bounce back from last year’s disappointing 6-10 record, but they won’t have it easy. The Rams compiled an 11-5 record en route to winning the NFC West title last season. It will be a battle of California-bred quarterbacks as Oakland’s Derek Carr (Fresno State) goes against Jared Goff (Cal), making a return to the East Bay. In the earlier game, the Lions host the Jets. (4:10 p.m. PT, ESPN).
