You can run from the cops, but not from your mom.
An Alabama teen led police on a chase down residential Birmingham streets in a stolen bus, slamming into two police cars during his gas-guzzling getaway. Hours later, his mom marched him to a precinct to turn himself in.
The trouble in the Magic City began at about 3:30 a.m. Sunday, when police responded to reports of people with guns in the neighborhood of Lakeview, and found the suspect and a fellow 15-year-old toting a BB gun and a paintball gun, Lt. Peter Williston of the Birmingham police told Oxygen.com.
Unable to contact family members of the kids, police took them to a juvenile detention facility to hold them. During intake, the speed-demon teen tore off from his minders around 6:30 a.m., and disappeared, police said.

Frances McDormand was awarded the Best Actress Oscar award at the Academy Awards on Sunday for her role in “Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri.” But after she gave an inspirational speech about women finding equality in Hollywood, her golden statue was stolen. A man was arrested on suspicion of felony theft for allegedly taking the accolade at the annual Governors Ball party, according to People.
The 60-year-old actress was at the party with her husband, filmmaker Joel Coen, when the award was being engraved with her name. That’s when she realized it was gone.
A reporter from The New York Times tweeted about the incident, saying that security was looking for the award. The reporter, Cara Buckley, tweeted a photo of the alleged suspect from the incident:

An Indiana woman pleaded guilty Thursday to smothering her two kids to death last fall after abducting them.
Amber Pasztor, 30, pleaded guilty but mentally ill to two counts of murder, according to CBS News. Pasztor is expected to be sentenced to 130 years in prison in June, receiving 65 years for each child’s death.
The Fort Wayne, Indiana woman abducted her children in Sept. 2016 from their custodial grandparents’ home. An Amber Alert was issued after the abduction.
The bodies of Pasztor’s 7-year-old daughter, Lilliana Hernandez, and 6-year-old son, Rene Pasztor, were found that same day inside a stolen vehicle parked behind the Elkhart Police Department, about 70 miles away from Fort Wayne. Pasztor flagged down an officer to show him the bodies, according to CBS.

Rockie Gajwani, the former CEO of Trevi Retail, has admitted to one count of wire fraud and three counts of tax evasion in Manhattan federal court. Officials allege that he used some of the stolen money to buy cocaine for lavish binges at strip clubs. The stolen money amounted to around $2.4 million. About $1.6 mil of that was allegedly spent on drugs and other lascivious activities.
Gajwani had previously worked as an executive at Vornado Realty Trust before leaving for a job with Trevi Retail where he made upwards of $200 mil for the company. He was fired from his job in 2013 following suspicions about his behavior and business.
According to the New York Post, Gajwani had written himself checks and wired himself money from business accounts. His accounts often labeled his outings simply as “expenses.” One of these “expenses” allegedly included tickets for his whole family
