On Tuesday, Shasta County Sheriff’s investigators released a surveillance video that appears to show Sherri Papini running through a church parking lot after she was released by her abductors last Thanksgiving at 4:15 AM.
The video shows the mother running past the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses. A few moments later, she runs back the other way, back toward Interstate 5.
“She went to the church looking for help,” Shasta County Sheriff’s Sgt. Brian Jackson told the Los Angeles Times. However, at a little after 4 AM, nobody was there.
Three weeks before a surveillance camera captured this footage, Papini, now 35, was allegedly abducted while jogging in Shasta County, California. Her husband reported her missing after he realized she never picked up their young children from daycare. His 911 call to police can be downloaded from the Shasta County Sheriff’s Office.
