Lisa Millican’s family fights for new laws

For the family of Lisa Ann Millican, it seems the fight will never end.

They fought to keep her killer from coming up for parole — that battle was lost in the courts, and Judith Ann Neeley had a parole hearing in May.

They fought to keep her behind bars, collecting names on petitions and asking for letters in opposition. They won that battle; Neelley remains in Julia Tutwiler Prison.

Now they are fighting against a TV show seeking to re-enact the 1982 crime.

The show proposed by the Oxygen network would be the third true show to re-enact what happened to Lisa — without any say from the family, unless they choose to be interviewed.

“Families of crime victims already have to deal with the fact that they couldn’t protect their family member in life,” said Cassie Millican, wife of Lisa’s brother Calvin and spokesperson for the family. “We can’t protect them in death either.

“We can’t grieve and move on,”

Who Is Ruth Correa? Woman Arrested In Grisly Murders of Lindquist Family

Ruth Correa stands accused of one of the most terrifying crimes in recent history — a Connecticut home invasion and arson that turned deadly for an entire family. But who is the young woman?

Correa, a 23-year-old mom of two, has been living in the same Hartford, Connecticut home for the past two years and has no prior arrests, WFSB in Hartford reported. Her father is a state Department of Correction officer.

She appeared in Superior Court in New London on Monday after being arrested for the killings of Kenneth and Janet Lindquist and their son Matthew, and was charged with three counts of felony murder and a single count of murder of two or more persons at the same time.

She’s also charged with home invasion, first-degree arson and first-degree robbery. Correa has not yet entered a plea for any of the charges and she is being held on a

Connecticut Woman Charged For Triple Murder Of Family, Burning Down Their House

A grisly triple murder, home invasion and fire that shocked a sleepy Connecticut neighborhood have led to one suspect’s arrest, and more busts may be on the way, police said.

Ruth Correa, 23, appeared in court Monday on charges for the deaths of Kenneth and Janet Lindquist, as well as their son Matthew. Correa is charged with murder, home invasion, robbery and torching the Lindquist’s house after the killings last December. She did not enter a plea.

Police had initially considered Matthew Lindquist a person of interest in the murder of his parents, whose burned bodies were discovered inside the home. But several months later, on May 5, police found Matthew’s body near the site of the fire, according to WFSB-TV in Hartford.

New details about the crime emerged Monday, which indicate Kenneth and Janet Lindquist suffered severe blunt trauma to the head, according to the Hartford Courant. Kenneth Lindquist reportedly died

Louise Turpin’s Sister Opens Up About Family And Alleged ‘House Of Horrors’

On January 14, 2018, a 17-year-old girl escaped her family home in Perris, California, and called 911 to report that she and her 12 siblings were being held captive by their parents, 49-year-old Louise Turpin and 56-year-old David Turpin. When police arrived at the home, they found several children shackled to their beds with chains and padlocks, and they appeared to be “malnourished and very dirty.” According to a press release from the sheriff’s department, investigators were shocked to learn that the siblings ranged in age from 2 to 29, because the older siblings were emaciated and did not appear to be adults.

While many disturbing details about the California “House of Horrors” have emerged over the past few months, many are still wondering what led to the decades of alleged abuse. Louise’s sister Teresa Robinette is asking herself that same question, and it’s one she hopes will be answered

Louise Turpin’s Sister Reveals How Family Was ‘Trained To Keep Secrets’ After Years Of Sexual Abuse

In Oxygen’s two-hour documentary special “The Turpin 13: Family Secrets Exposed,” the sister of accused child abuser Louise Turpin claimed their family was “trained to keep secrets” while they were growing up. Before Louise and her husband David Turpin made headlines in January for allegedly shackling and starving their 13 children inside their Perris, California, home, Teresa Robinette said her sister was a victim of sexual abuse and was forced to keep quiet about it. According to Robinette, she and her two sisters were molested multiple times by an older male relative, and no one in the family protected them.

Robinette told host Soledad O’Brien, “The family told us girls that the best thing to do would be to be quiet because we didn’t want to ruin the family name.” Robinette explained her relative was a “very, very wealthy man” and that he would pay the Robinette girls to stay

Jennifer Hart May Have Been Drunk Before Family SUV Plunged Off Cliff

Jennifer Hart was reportedly drunk behind the wheel when her family’s SUV fell 100 feet off the Pacific Coast Highway in March.

California Highway Patrol Capt. Bruce Carpenter said last week that Hart had a blood alcohol level of 0.102, according to People. The legal limit is .08.

Five members of the family were found dead at the bottom of the cliff—married couple Jennifer and Sarah Hart and three adopted children, Markis, 19, Jeremiah, 14, and Abigail, 14—after a motorist saw the remains of the SUV on March 26 in Northern California. Three remaining kids—Devonte, 15, Hannah, 16, and Sierra Hart, 12— are unaccounted for.

Authorities believe all eight members of the family are dead, reported People

The official cause of the crash is under investigation, but police said that the vehicle’s software data suggests that the plunge off the cliff was deliberate. Police said Jennifer was driving the car when it fell and are looking into the Read more at: http://www.oxygen.com/crime-time/jennifer-hart-may-have-been-drunk-family-suv-plunged-cliff
