Former Playboy Model And 7-Year-Old Son Plunge To Death From Manhattan Hotel

A former Playboy model in the middle of a custody battle fell to her death along with her 7-year-old son in Manhattan, according to police.

Stephanie Adams and her son Vincent plunged 23 floors from the penthouse of the Gotham Hotel near Grand Central Terminal on Thursday night in a suspected suicide jump. They were found on a second-floor balcony Friday morning, officials told the Associated Press. Adams was in the middle of a custody fight with her estranged husband Charles Nicolai, a Manhattan chiropractor.

Lawyer Raoul Felder, who represented Adams until a few months ago, told the wire service that it was “a very tough custody case,” and explained that Adams and Nicolai would bring their child to a police precinct when he changed custody from her house to his.

“She was never depressed while I knew her. She had certain problems, but depression wasn’t one of them,” Felder said.

Cosmo DiNardo Takes Plea Deal For Life In Prison, But Cousin Will Face Death Penalty Trial

Confessed spree killer Cosmo DiNardo pleaded guilty Wednesday to the murders of four young men and received a life sentence.

His cousin Sean Kratz, who authorities have alleged to be Dinardo’s accomplice, surprised the court by refusing to accept a plea deal. He will face a death penalty trial, according to prosecutors.

DiNardo confessed to killing former classmate Jimi Patrick, 19, last July because Patrick came up thousands of dollars short in a deal with DiNardo for four pounds of pot. Days later, DiNardo and Kratz allegedly killed three other young men — Dean Finocchiaro, 19; Thomas Meo, 21; and Mark Sturgis, 22 — and then roasted the bodies in a pig cooker on DiNardo’s family farm in Bucks County, Pennsylvania.

Kratz is charged in three of four murders.

DiNardo had previously been committed to a psychiatric unit to be treated for schizophrenia, the Philadelphia Inquirer reported.

During the hearing Wednesday, family members of the victims lashed out

Florida Man’s Wife And Best Friend Indicted For His Death After He Was Missing For 17 Years

Two people were indicted this week for allegedly killing a man more than 17 years ago to collect a life insurance policy: His wife and his best friend, who ended up marrying each other.

Denise Williams was arrested Tuesday and charged for the December 2000 death of former husband Mike Williams. An indictment says she and her husband’s best friend Brian Winchester planned the murder for nine months and passed it off as an accident. Winchester also allegedly pulled the trigger, a grand jury found, according to the Tallahassee Democrat.

Williams pleaded not guilty to charges of first-degree murder, conspiracy to commit murder and accessory after the fact. She is being held without bond.

Winchester and Denise Williams have known each other since pre-school and married five years after Mike’s disappearance. Winchester is currently serving 20 years for kidnapping Denise Williams at gunpoint in 2016, after their marriage fell apart. Winchester said

"Gay Panic" Defense Helps Man Avoid Jail Time For Stabbing Neighbor To Death

The rarely-used “gay panic” defense helped a Texas musician avoid jail time for killing a neighbor who allegedly tried to seduce him during a jam session.

James Miller, 69, will serve 10 years probation after being sentenced for criminally negligent homicide for the 2015 death of Daniel Spencer, according to KXAN-TV in Austin.

Miller, a former police employee, had originally been charged with murder in September 2015. But he was found not guilty of murder or manslaughter.

As per the decision on Wednesday, Miller will pay $10,000 in fines and serve 100 hours of community service. He will also have an alcohol monitor until the judge deems it unnecessary.

In court, Miller’s defense successfully argued he had stabbed Spencer to death after Spencer allegedly attempted to seduce him. The court saw this killing as self-defense.

“It was so uncharacteristic of Mr. Miller that for him to engage in this behavior clearly had to be

Texas Man Sentenced To Life In Prison For Stomping Toddler Girl To Death

A Texas man who had faced the death penalty for stomping an 18-month-old baby to death was instead sentenced to life in prison on Monday, the Fort-Worth Star Telegram reported.

Joshua Beard, 24, was convicted of killing his girlfriend’s child, Tylea Moore, in July 2014. He also received a 20-year sentence for evidence tampering. The sentences will be served concurrently.

According to Beard’s arrest warrant, he and his girlfriend, Alexis Botello, then 17, were at their home on July 4 when Beard called Tylea “the little demon” and threw her onto a bed with such force that she bounced up and landed on the floor.

That’s when Beard repeatedly stomped on the baby’s stomach until she vomited, Botello told police.

When she tried to stop Beard, he choked and beat her too, Botello said.

When the couple realized Tylea had stopped breathing, the couple tried to revive her with CPR, but failed.

They then took Tylea’s

Prince’s Death: Doctor Will Be Fined For Opioid Prescription, But No Charges

The Minnesota doctor who allegedly prescribed painkillers a week before Prince’s death will be fined for a federal civil violation, but the investigation into the pop icon’s overdose will end with no charges, officials said Thursday.

Carver County Attorney Mark Metz announced the end of the Prince probe two days before the second anniversary of the “Purple Rain” singer’s death.

“The bottom line is that we simply do not have sufficient evidence to charge anyone with a crime related to Prince’s death,” Metz said in a press conference, noting that the investigation could be reopened if new evidence was presented.

He said there is no doubt that the actions of the people around Prince will be still criticized. But “suspicions and innuendo are categorically inefficient to support any criminal charges,” he said.

About 90 minutes before Metz’s announcement, the U.S. Attorney’s Office in Minnesota announced it reached a $30,000 civil settlement with Dr.

New York City Bus Driver Found Stabbed To Death In Brooklyn Home

A disabled New York City bus driver was found stabbed to death in his Brooklyn apartment Tuesday in what police have deemed a homicide.

The wife and daughter of Otis James, 46, found him dead on the floor of their home in the Bushwick neighborhood with a knife next to his body, the New York Daily News reported. He was bleeding from the torso, according to NBC New York.

Police initially were not sure if the death was a murder or suicide. The NYPD on Wednesday ruled the death a homicide, a spokesman told Oxygen. An autopsy found James had been hit in the back of the head and stabbed several times in the chest, according to the Daily News.

James had worked as a bus driver for the city’s Metropolitan Transportation Authority as recently as 2017, one of his friends said. A spokesman for the MTA could not immediately

Suge Knight: Five Facts About Death Row Records Founder Facing …

There would be no gangsta rap without Marion “Suge” Knight — but the law, and his health, are catching up with him.

Once called “the most feared man in hip- hop” by Rolling Stone, the founder of Death Row Records helped propel the careers of West Coast rap stars like Snoop Dogg, Tupac Shakur and Dr. Dre. A former professional football player, Suge was known for his imposing stature and gangster persona. He was often seen around his native Los Angeles wearing blood red suits and holding a cigar in his hand. For him, loyalty was mandatory.

“Death Row is a way of life,” Knight explained to the New York Times in 1996. “It’s an all-the-time thing. And ain’t nobody gonna change that.”

But Knight, 52, is in a grim third act. He’s incarcerated and awaiting a trial on accusations that he ran over two men in 2015, killing one. His health problems have haunted him while
