California Man Charged With Murder After Veteran’s Charred Remains Found

A night of partying at a hangout for biker veterans in northern California turned deadly, authorities say — and one man is accused of torturing and murdering a 70-year-old Vietnam vet before burning his remains.

Sean Bryant, 51, was booked Sunday for allegedly murdering and torturing Stanley Owen Norman.

Bryant initially told cops that he and Norman spent the night of April 14 drinking together into the next morning. He said he eventually passed out and woke up as the sun was coming up the next day to find Norman, his Hummer H2 and his poodle KoKo all missing.

Cops searched for Norman for a month and eventually found his charred remains on one of Bryant’s properties.

Bryant made inroads with the veteran community after moving to Grass Valley in rural northern California roughly two years ago, according to Kristen Day, a fellow veteran who organized a community search for Norman and spoke to Oxygen.com.

Father Allegedly Abused And Tortured His 10 Kids In Filthy California Home

Impassable hallways, spoiled food, burns, bruises, human and animal feces.

It was all part of “a long and continuous history of severe physical and emotional abuse” that a northern California father inflicted on his 10 children, police said Monday.

Jonathan Allen, 29, has been charged with nine counts of felony torture and six counts of felony child abuse, Fairfield police announced.

Social service workers removed the 10 children, ranging in age from four months to 12 years, from the home. Their mother, Ina Rogers, faces lesser charges of neglect.

The children suffered abuse including “puncture wounds, burns, bruising and injuries consistent with being shot by a pellet or airsoft gun,” police said. All of the violence was “for sadistic purposes,” said Sharon Henry, chief deputy district attorney for Solano County.

Despite the charges of vile neglect and abuse, Rogers maintains that she and Allen are loving parents.

“I strive, I thrive on being a good parent to my

Suspect Arrested In Shooting At Southern California High School

One victim was shot in the arm at a California high school on Friday morning and a suspect was detained, the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department said.

The suspect, described as a “male Hispanic juvenile” by the department on Twitter, was not identified. Police also said they had recovered one firearm from the scene at Highland High School in Palmdale, California, about 60 miles north of Los Angeles.

The victim is a student, Capt. Darren Harris, a spokesman for the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, told the Los Angeles Times.

“That student is going to be OK,” he said.

The suspect is also a student, according to Sheriff’s Department spokeswoman Nicole Nishida. She told the Los Angeles Times that he was arrested in a nearby parking lot.

In a statement, the school district’s superintendent, Raul Maldonado, said, “It has been confirmed that earlier this morning, there was an active shooter on the Highland High

California Teacher Accidentally Shoots Gun In Classroom, Injuring Student

A teacher accidentally fired a gun inside a high school in Seaside, California on Tuesday. One student suffered minor injuries as a result, KION-TV in Monterey reported.

Dennis Alexander was supposed to be teaching a lesson on public safety for his Administration of Justice class at Seaside High School. Clearly, he wasn’t teaching it right. The gun went off as Alexander accidentally discharged it into the ceiling.

“Fragments from the bullet struck a student in the neck,” Seaside Police Chief Abdul Pridgen, according to CBS News. The room was full of 16 and 17-year-olds, according to The Californian. Bullet fragments got lodged into the neck of the injured student, the student’s father Fermin Gonzales told KSBW.

Shockingly, Gonzales claimed that nobody called the police to report the shooting. He said he and the victim’s mother had to call to file a report themselves after their 17-year-old son came home

Missing Skier Who Disappeared In Adirondacks Found In California ‘Confused,’ Wearing Same Ski Gear

It’s a truly baffling story. A skier went missing from Whiteface Mountain in upstate New York on Wednesday. Now, he’s turned up alive five days later, wearing the same ski clothing, but in Sacramento, California.

Police have not revealed how Constantinos “Danny” Filippidis, 49, of Toronto, traveled 2,900 miles, but they have said that they do not believe he flew across the country because his identification was still in upstate New York, NBC 5 reported.

His belongings and car were still in the parking lot, located in the Adirondacks. Over the last week, police crews, helicopters and hundreds of volunteers combed the mountain in hopes of finding Filippidis.

The man, a firefighter, has no history of mental illness or substance abuse, according to various reports. He called his wife on Tuesday from California, confused.

The president of the Toronto Professional Firefighters’ Association told Syracuse.com that “he kinda found himself.” Filippidis vanished during his

A former classmate of the eldest sibling held captive in her home with her 12 brothers and sisters has written a gut-wrenching Facebook post about the bullying she endured.

Earlier this month, a 17-year-old girl escaped from her Perris, California home to report horrific abuse that she and her siblings were enduring, allegedly at the hands of their parents David Allen Turpin, 57, and Louise Anna Turpin, 49. Police found her siblings, ranging in age from 2 to 29, with some of them allegedly shackled to furniture, inside their dark and “foul-smelling” home.

A man who went to elementary school with the oldest victim, a 29-year-old woman, said he felt an “overwhelming sense of guilt and shame.”

“Every grade level had a designated ‘cootie kid’ and she held the title for our year,” Taha Muntajibuddin wrote. “She was a frail girl, had pin-straight hair with bangs, and often wore the

Police Knew ‘Madman’ Had Illegal Guns Before Shooting Spree In California

New details are emerging about Tuesday’s deadly shooting rampage in and near rural Rancho Tehama Reserve that killed six people (including the gunman, 44-year-old Kevin Janson Neal) and wounded at least 10.

At a Wednesday press conference, described as tense by The Associated Press, police defended their decision not to arrest Neal for violating a court order that banned him from having guns. Neighbors had previously complained about Neal repeatedly firing off hundreds of rounds from his home. Tehama County Assistant Sheriff Phil Johnston said that police responded to neighbors’ calls on numerous occasions. However, Johnston said that Neal wouldn’t open the door, so the police just left.

“He was not law enforcement friendly. He would not come to the door,” Johnston said. “You have to understand we can’t anticipate what people are going to do. We don’t have a crystal ball.”

Johnston also told reporters the shooter illegally manufactured the guns he used
