On Thursday, July 11, E! News revealed the first-ever photos of Gypsy Rose Blanchard with her prison pen pal-turned-fiancé, Ken, as the two celebrated their engagement, which took place in April earlier this year. A family friend told the outlet that the two were planning on building a future together after she is released, following her 10-year prison sentence.

But while life appears to be getting happier for Blanchard, her co-conspirator and boyfriend at the time, Nicholas Godejohn, is still serving a life sentence for first-degree murder in the killing.

Oxygen preps two-hour “Killer Couples” special

NBCUniversal-owned true crime cable network Oxygen will explore the twisted love story of Gypsy Rose Blanchard and Nicholas Godejohn in a two-hour special of its Snapped: Killer Couples series.

Gypsy Rose Nick: A Love To Kill For will explore how the couple came to murder Gypsy’s abusive mother, Claudine “Dee Dee” Blanchard, with an exclusive first interview with Godejohn since his sentencing.

Snapped: Killer Couples is produced by Jupiter Entertainment, with Stephen Land, Allison Wallach, Todd Moss and Eric Wetherington serving as executive producers.

The special premieres July 13 at 7 p.m. ET/PT on Oxygen.

Netflix has renewed The Society for a second season. Chris Keyser will return as Showrunner, and continue to executive produce alongside Marc Webb. The Society will return to Netflix in 2020, with production set to begin later this year.

About The Society S1:

The Society follows a group of teenagers who are mysteriously transported to a facsimile of their wealthy New England town without any trace of their parents. Their newfound freedom will be fun… but it will also be very dangerous. As they struggle to figure out what has happened to them and how to get home, they must establish order and form alliances if they want to survive.

The series centers around Mike Russ, a blue collar guy who must prove his innocence when accused of planting a bomb on a Los Angeles subway train, and uncover the real perpetrator. “The Fugitive” from Warner Bros. TV, with Thunder Road Films and 3 Arts Entertainment producing.  Basil Iwanyk, Tom Lassally and Albert Torres are also listed as executive producers.
