TV best bets with David Cassidy, Gordon Ramsay, ‘The Affair,’ ‘Shades of Blue’

This is a relatively quiet week in TV.

1970s heartthrob David Cassidy’s sad death last November is chronicled Monday on AE.

Gordon Ramsay debuts his seemingly100th new show on Fox Wednesday after “Masterchef.” The man is one impressively durable presence on the network since “Hell’s Kitchen” debuted in 2005. 

Showtime’s “The Affair” returns for a fourth season and NBC’s third and final season of Jennifer Lopez’s “Shades of Blue” comes back Sunday as well. NBC’s ‘Marlon” and History’s “Alone” are back Thursday. Syfy’s “12 Monkeys” and Netflix’s “Queer Eye” and “The Ranch” bring back fresh seasons Friday.
