Oxygen Diving Into True Crime Programming With Shows from Ice-T, Soledad O’Brien, and More

The Oxygen network is diving head first into true crime with a long slate of new pick ups and in-development series, TheWrap learned Thursday.

It announced that it has greenlit eight new programs, including outings from CNN anchor Soledad O’Brien, rapper and actor Ice-T, Buzzfeed Motion Pictures, Nancy Grace, and more.

Oxygen also acquired a “Dateline” series, tentatively titled “Dateline: Secrets Uncovered,” hosted by NBC NEws’ Craig Melvin.

Oxygen Media announced the full-time shift to true crime programming earlier this year and has already found some success with the “Snapped” franchise and other shows like “Three Days to Live” and “It Takes a Killer.” The rebranding comes with a new logo, which you can see above.

Previously it had been a network aimed primarily at women, airing reruns of “America’s Next Top Model” and being the home of reality shows like “The Glee
